Club & Swim Meet Service Hours Guidelines

Sign-Ups & Notifications
Service hours opportunities for both club and swim meets are posted and managed through our team website. Ensure your TeamUnify email is up to date to receive timely notifications.

Service hours emails and other team-relevant information will come from our Job Coordinator - Portia Soderberg tooantsy@gmail.com

Participation Requirements

  • Families must earn 5 service hours per 13-week quarter.
  • New Hurricane families are exempt in their first quarter but are encouraged to learn about service jobs and roles.

Club Service Jobs

Parents can sign up for quick, easy tasks that keep the club running smoothly. Roles include:

  • Hot Tub Monitor (Junior groups)
  • Locker Room Checks (Men’s & Women’s areas)
  • Hot Chocolate Wednesdays (a seasonal team favorite!)

These roles are great for earning points while supporting our swimmers!

Swim Meet Service Jobs

Each team must work service hours based on the number of swimmers entered. Failure to meet this requirement results in penalties.

If your swimmer is signed up for a meet, you must be ready to work at the meet. Even if you’ve met your quarterly service hours, you are still required to help.

If you cannot work at a meet, do NOT sign up your swimmer.

Important Policies

  • Missed Shifts: A -5 hours penalty applies for each unfilled shift.
  • Shift Changes: If you cannot fulfill your shift, you must find a replacement.
  • Multiple Shifts: Some meets require families to work more than one shift. Any unfilled shifts will be assigned as needed.
  • Last-Minute Sign-Ups: Meet service job sign-ups are posted on our website once we receive requirements from the host team—this may be weeks or just days before the meet.

Stay Updated: Families must check their sign-up notifications, reminder emails, and the team website to stay informed about job requirements.
