FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS
TEAM MEMBERSHIP FEE
a) The Annual Participation Fee breakdown is currently outlined in the registration contract. Fees include: basic team gear, team relay fees, most team activities, administration fees, office supplies, coaches’ equipment (stopwatches, chairs, team gear, apparel), mileage, and travel expenses for coaches. Maintaining team equipment, and Fees also include USA Swimming insurance and Pacific Swimming Annual Enrollment Fee. 2026-2027 Fee is $330. Swimmers starting after Jan 1, 2027 the Fee is $160.
b) The USA Swimming Swimmer Registration Fee is a separate registration process. Instructions and communication on how to do this will be communicated to swimmers in an appropriate time frame. For insurance purposes we require all swimmers who swim with the competitive team be registered with Pacific Swimming. The registration fee must be renewed annually. Swimmers joining mid-season will also be required to register. Swimmers who transfer to the team via another swim team must complete the transfer form on the Pacific Swimming website. Depending on certain factors, swimmers may be unattached for up to 120 days.
ANNUAL / SEASONAL DUES
Dues are paid separate from the team membership fee and will be billed through The Hills Swim and Tennis Club billing software. Dues go directly to pool usage fee, employee wages, and employee benefits. Annual Dues are designed to give a financial discount to dedicated families who swim year-round. Seasonal Dues are set up for newer swimmers who may not want to dedicate an entire year to swimming, or swim families who cannot participate annually. The Annual Cycle is September through August and the Seasonal Cycle are dates posted on our website and below.
BILLING POLICY: Swim practice convenes at the published times found either on the website, email, or newsletter. Fees will be paid whether swimmers are present or not. Cancellations and refunds may not be made for vacations, scheduled team breaks, holidays, or necessary practice cancellations. Only medical excuses from a doctor will relieve you from payment obligation. You will be put on an automatic billing system. Seasonal swimmers who attend practice/meets after the published dates will be charged for the next season. Swimmers graduating groups will be prorated accordingly.
DUES OPTIONS: Annual dues begin Sept 1, 2026. Seasonal Dues begin Aug 19, 2026. Seasonal dates are four 13 week periods (exact dates listed below).

DISCOUNTS:
1) Annual Discount:

LUMP SUM: Offered for returning swimmers between July 22 - Aug 7. The new swimmer registration period will open Aug 7 - Sept 15. Beginning September and ending in August swimmers are signing up for an annual option. There are no refunds for this option. The lump sum option is charged on September 20, 2026.

MONTHLY: Offered for returning swimmers between July 22 - Aug 7. Swimmers signing up are responsible for 12 months of dues whether the swimmer is present or not. Dues are billed monthly for 12 months. Swimmers who choose to discontinue the annual agreement at any time will be charged back at the seasonal rate plus a $550 processing fee.
2) Sibling Discount: Families that have a paying sibling on the competitive team will receive a discount per sibling. This discount is not available with any pro-rating option.
3) Registered Official Discount (stroke and turn judge): All registered officials in good standing receive a seasonal discount at seasons end of $125 per season. The official(s) must volunteer at a minimum of TWO meet sessions per season and must achieve their minimum parent volunteer point requirements to receive this discount.
***PRORATION: Proration for swimmers starting or ending mid-season is only available for 50% of the seasonal rate. There are no sibling discounts for prorating swimmers.
***NON-HILLS CLUB MEMBERS: Non-memberships on the swim team are limited. Non-Hills Club Members may join the team during a provisionary period. After the provisional period, non-members may continue under the approval of the head swim coach. Non-Hills members must pay an additional club usage fee. Non-Members are restricted to club use only during team scheduled practices/events. Credit card payment is required for dues. More information on non-members is available in the team handbook.
